Guwahati: At least one person was killed, and about 20 others, including a couple of policemen, were injured in an IED blast in Goalpara district of Assam on Monday.
The injured were immediately rushed to hospital
The explosive was kept inside a dust bin, according to available reports.
The violent explosion coincided with the first round of polling for the Assam Assembly elections.
