Lalit Shastri, Editor-in-Chief, is a distinguished journalist, wildlife filmmaker, and environmentalist, who has dedicated decades to raising awareness about critical issues and working towards their resolution.

With over two decades of dedicated service as the head of the Madhya Pradesh Bureau for leading English newspapers The Hindu and The Asian Age, Mr. Shastri has exemplified journalistic integrity and excellence. He fearlessly covered significant events such as the aftermath of the Babri Mosque demolition and the challenges posed by Naxalite-Maoist activities in Central Indian states.

Beyond journalism, Shastri’s involvement in the aftermath of the 1984 Bhopal gas disaster demonstrates his unwavering dedication to societal well-being. He undertook a comprehensive study of the disaster’s causes, leading to the publication of his impactful book “Bhopal Disaster—an eyewitness account.” His work highlighted the incident and led to his transition into a full-time journalist to continue informing the public about this tragedy.

Shastri’s multifaceted contributions extend to founding the not-for-profit NGO, Crusade for Revival of Environment and Wildlife (CREW), aimed at safeguarding the environment, green cover, and wildlife. He further showcases his commitment by being an active member of boards and councils related to environmental and child rights causes. His association with initiatives like “Last of the Gharial” and “India for Beginners” documentaries reflects his dedication to promoting wildlife conservation through different media channels.

Shastri’s remarkable career trajectory beginning with a successful corporate job as Branch In-charge of Kelvinator of India Limited in the early 80s of the last Century) to a prominent journalist and environmental crusader underscores his passion, dedication, and desire for societal progress. Shivani Bhardwaj, Editor, has more than a decade of experience as a journalist. She is an expert on legal matters relating to Petroleum & Energy, Infrastructure, Mergers and Acquisitions, Project Development, Contracts, Corporate Dispute Resolution, Arbitration and Court related proceedings. She has a Masters Degree in Energy Laws from the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Dehradun and a Bachelor in Law from the National Law Institute University, Bhopal.
