It’s brazen backing of the terrorist sponsoring Pakistan state, attempts to target India for taking decisions for its national interest, unprecedented American greed by exploitation of trade through arbitrary tariffs and attempts to destabilise the world by undermining sovereignty of nations has put the world on the edge.

Blacklisting BLA but bailing out Pakistan state for its direct sponsorship of terrorism are not isolated developments.

The Victim countries have a choice:

1.Submit to America and follow what the deep State asks. This helps avoid problems temporarily but comes with a long-term cost.

2.Build an alliance of the global South to resist American hegemony.

BRICS is the outcome of the latter approach.

How it will pan out in future and BRICS nations resolve their problems with each other will be interesting to watch.

Long-term benefits of contesting American hegemony through whatever alliances, existing or may emerge, are obvious.

Postscript:
The emerging geopolitical reality leaves the Global South with no viable option but to collectively counter U.S. hegemony—alongside like-minded partners in Europe—before its coercive policies push the world beyond recovery. What we are witnessing today is not leadership but the re-emergence of imperialism and colonialism in a more covert, ruthless form. It has already pushed the international system to the brink, and unless resisted through coordinated alliances, the resulting instability will leave a harsh and lasting impact on the rest of the world.
