Union Minister for Food Processing Industries and Jal Shakti Prahlad Singh Patel released the coffee-table book “By the Way” at a special book release function in Bhopal, the capital of the Central Indian State of Madhya Pradesh on Saturday 15 July 2023. Present on dais with the chief guest were Trustee and Director Peoples Group Dr. Megha Vijaywargia, Director Peoples Group Mayank Vishnoi, and eminent journalists Girja Shankar, Mahesh Srivastava, and Lalit Shastri.

Bhopal: A stunning tribute to Anshuman Bhargava, the former State Editor of The Hitavada, is his posthumous coffee table book “By the way”. It brims with thought-provoking articles, embodying the epitome of journalistic excellence and preserving his indelible mark in the field of journalism.

This was observed by Lalit Shastri, Editor-in-Chief Newsroom24x7. He was addressing a glittering book release function at Courtyard by Marriott here on Saturday 15 July 2023.

The glossy coffee table book was released by Union Food Processing Industries and Jal Shakti Minister Prahlad Singh Patel. It has been printed and published at the initiative of Dr Megha Vijaywargia, Trustee and Director Peoples Group and Mayank Vishnoi, Director Peoples Group, to honour the life and work of a journalist, whose incisive articles appeared regularly in his popular column under the heading “By the Way”.

Anshuman Bhargava, was down to earth, level headed and hardworking. He was combative and a committed journalist, Shastri said adding: “Through this extraordinary book that captures Anshuman’s literary brilliance, we bestow a deserving honor upon a journalist who remained resolute in his pursuit of truth”.

Shastri underscored any amount of praise would be less to acknowledge the vision and initiative taken by Dr. Megha Vijaywargia and Mayank Vishnoi, who have set a trailblazing example before the entire world by visualising and then turning the coffee table book into a reality.

A befitting tribute to Anshuman’s unwavering commitment to truth, this remarkable book serves as an immortal testament to his prolific writings, Shastri observed and stated, the grand and well-attended book release program underscores the profound impact Anshuman made as a journalist, fearlessly delving into a vast array of topics, including the environment, wildlife, law and order, security, corruption, and development. Anshuman’s enduring influence will continue to resonate, guiding successive generations of journalists.

Tara Chettur Menon spoke about her experiences working with Anshuman Bhargava and also the compilation of the coffee table book.

Shastri also had a special word of praise for Tara Chettur Menon, who had the opportunity to work with Anshuman Bhargava, as a Senior Correspondent with The Hitavada. She played a major role in selecting the articles and preparing the final edited copy for the coffee table book.
