New Delhi: A three-day Leadership Development Programme for Women Members of Looms of Ladakh Women Cooperative Ltd organised by National Cooperative Union of India began here on a successful note on Tuesday 20 June 2023.
President NCUI Dileep Sanghani who has served as Member of Parliament in 10th Lok Sabha, chaired the session on the opening day and motivated the Looms of Ladakh members to dream big and also work as a credit cooperative society.
Director NCUI Savitri Singh welcomed the women members and took special sessions on leadership.
Founder Director & Chief Strategist of Looms of Ladakh and Pèrak Apparel Abhilasha Bahuguna thanked Shri Dileep Sanghani and Smt.Savitri Singh for accepting her proposal for the leadership workshop and giving the Looms’ of Ladakh members an opportunity to visualise the endless possibilities.
Inderpreet and Hemant have extended special help in organising the 3-day training programme with coursework on elections, credit society, funding, production efficiency, work life balance, work culture development, marketing, Cooperative best practices and exposure visits to KRIBHCO and TRIFED, to name a few.
Forty Women members of Looms of Ladakh Women Cooperative Ltd. from 15 villages of Leh and Kargil are attending the programme being held from 20 to 22 June.
The elected managing body of Looms of Ladakh, including Lobzang Lamo, Shakeela Bano and Sonam Chondol made the travel arrangements for all the members from Ladakh to Delhi.
Looms of Ladakh produces pashmina wool blend coats, jackets, knits with label Perak. The women’s Cooperative is being supported by Indian Army, Fire and Fury, NABARD , LAHDC, SIDBI, ICICI Bank, Royal Enfield in their endeavours.
