Indore: A massive fire broke out at the Choithram vegetable/fruit market in Indore, causing panic among the vendors and shoppers on Wednesday 14 June 2023. 

Dark, thick smoke rose from the market and it was visible from a distance. No injuries have been reported from the crowded market.

Firefighters from multiple locations responded quickly to extinguish the flames. The Choithram market is recognized as Madhya Pradesh’s largest vegetable market, drawing in hundreds of trucks daily.
