New Delhi: Ruling Bharatiya Janata Party President Amit Shah was at his caustic best today when he took a jibe at the main Opposition Congress by stating that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP is working towards ‘Making India’ whereas Congress is working towards ‘Breaking India’
The BJP President was addressing the opening session of the two-day BJP national Executive Committee meeting in the Capital. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Shah inaugurated the BJP meet.
The Prime Minister will deliver the valedictory address on Sunday.
As it has been decided to contest the 2019 Parliamentary election under the leadership of Amit Shah, the election of his successor will have to wait, a party insider told Newsroom24x7.
Briefing media-persons, Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that the party President has said in his speech that the 2019 election will be contested keeping in focus Modi Government’s achievements and on the basis of the strength of the party organisation. She also informed the journalists that Shah said in his speech that the National Register of Citizens (NRC) will be implemented in such a way that it will not be possible for any infiltrator to cross the border and enter the country.
