Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today said that human life depends on environmental balance.

In a messaage to mark “Hariyali Mahotsav” (Greenery Festival), the Chief Minister said that it is essential to plant saplings to save green cover and fill our life with lot of greenery.

Chouhan said that saplings have been planted on a big scale across the state at the initiative of the State Government and with the help of the people during the Narmada Seva Yatra last year. This year also saplings will be planted in the catchment area of different rivers, including the Narmada on July 15.

The Chief Minister has expressed the hope that while the forest development schemes will help expand green cover, it will also generate new opportunities of employment in the rural areas.
