Bengaluru: The swearing in of HD Kumaraswamy as Chief minister of Karnataka and the formation of the Janata Dal (Secular) – Congress alliance government here on Wednesday turned into a big show of strength by parties opposed to the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Present on this occasion were Kumaraswamy’s father and former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda, Congress leader Sonia Gandhi along with party president and son Rahul Gandhi, Bahujan Samaj Party supremo Mayawati, whose party had a pre-poll alliance with JDS and has won one seat in the Karnataka Assembly, Samajwadi Party leader and former UP Chief minister Akhilesh Yadav, Sharad Pawar of Nationalist Congress Party,bSitaram Yechury of Communist Party of India, Marxist, Ajit Singh of Rashtriya Lok Dal, West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress leader Mamata Banerjee, Television Dream Party president and Andhra Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Aam Aadmi Party leader and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Rashtriya Janata Dal’s Tejashwi Yadav.
