CREW, a not for profit registered organisation, is organising an event in February 2018 to mark the release of a documentary on the Central Indian Highlands – a region that for thousands of years has remained an ideal habitat for tigers – a grand specie now facing the threat of extinction due to extreme biotic pressure.

The central Indian landscape is a huge Watershed that charges rivers like the Narmada, Chambal, Son and their many tributaries. These rivers in turn feed rivers like the Ganges and Yamuna in the North and the Godavari and many other rivers in the South. It will not be an exaggeration to describe the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh as the water capital of India.

The documentary shot, directed and produced by Lalit Shastri, founder President of CREW in collaboration with MP State Biodiversity Board, showcases the tiger territory and throws light on factors threatening wildlife and the green cover. It particularly lays emphasis on the need to protect the biotic pyramid at every cost. This is a global responsibility.
