Jabalpur High Court sets aside ruling BJP MLA Rajendra Meshram’s election from Devsar

Jabalpur: The Jabalpur High Court today set aside the election of Rajendra Meshram, the ruling Bharatiya Janata party MLA from Devsar in Singrauli district

Meshram had won the Devsar (SC) seat in the 2013 Assembly election by a margin of 33214 votes compared to his immediate rival Banshmani Prasad Verma, who had contested as an independent candidate. In his election, Meshram had declared his movable and immovable assets were to the tune of about Rs. 3600,000.
